Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and is known the world over for its innovative transportation policy, specifically in regard to bicycling. Copenhagen is known for having perhaps the world’s most extensive and well-used bicycle paths in the world, where the bike paths are often separated from traffic lanes and sometimes even have their own signals. Around 32% of commutes bike to work. And the city provides an easy and cheap bicycle rental system that can be found in several locations throughout the city.
