Chinatown, New York is an ethnic enclave for Chinese immigrants in New York City. And in the 1980s, it surpassed San Francisco’s Chinatown, becoming the largest community of Chinese immigrants in the Western Hemisphere. Chinatown, New York is located right at the foot of the Manhattan Bridge, which is directly across the city from the Holland Tunnel, so it is a very high traffic area. While being a high traffic area, in recent years, traffic calming measures and bike lanes are more common.
