I thought you all might like to know about tonight's meeting for public input regarding the Hudson River Valley Greenway. Subject: Hudson River Valley Greenway meeting Feb 26 at Lehman College 2009-02-04 11:59 Ebenezer at the CB12 just sent this out: (We really need to be involved and I can lead a group to go to this). Meantime we should read their scope of work, project schedule and summaries of previous TAC meetings. Because we have not formalized our structure, we are not invited to get involved early in processes like this. We are not on anybody's radar (except CB12 to some degree). Dear Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) Member, Please join us for the Hudson River Valley Greenway Link project's first public workshop. This workshop will provide a forum for potential users, residents and other stakeholders to learn about the project and discuss their ideas and concerns in an engaging and productive atmosphere. The workshop will incorporate interactive exercises, including drawing of potential route alignments, and a presentation by the project team. The content of this workshop has been developed based on your input through the TAC and represents a broadening of stakeholder outreach as we share the progress of the project with the greater community and solicit wider input. The workshop will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Lehman Colleges East Dining Room (see directions below) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. rwalsh@.... New York City Dear Dr. Clarke, Thank you for your interest in this project. My name is Howie Mann and I am the project manager for this project for the sponsor, the NY Metropolitan Transportation Council. You will be added to the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for the project. You will shortly receive a brochure that includes all of the details of the upcoming workshop. As a cyclist your input into the study will be valuable. TAC members weren't exactly chosen. We sought individuals and organizations that we knew about and started a database of those people. Then we asked them to assist us in identifying other people and organizations as well as letting us know if the contacts we had were still current. Using this method we built the TAC to its current configuration. We have tried to be inclusive. We haven't left anyone out. I hope this information is helpful and I look forward to meeting you on Feb 26. If you need any more information do not hesitate to call or email. Howard J. Mann, M.S.
