Prospect Park Rest Stop during the Century

Last Sunday, September 13, I volunteered at the Prospect Park Rest Stop, greeting & feeding NYC Century riders. Lois Bielefeld of TA’s Brooklyn Committee took hundreds of terrific photos, both at the rest stop and along the route. See them all here!

If you have never volunteered for TA, you are missing out. Nothing more satisfying than handing out sticky peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches and orange wedges to hungry but smiling bicyclists. Hope everyone enjoyed the ride.

Special thanks to Justin & Max of Build It Green! NYC for creating recycling & compost stations to minimize the environmental impact of this year’s Century.

If you are interested in volunteering for Transportation Alternatives, please email Elena at volunteer(at)transalt.org. There are many ways to get involved!

Many thanks to Lois Bielefeld for the photos.
