30 April 2009 - Several community groups, including NAG and BGI, along with the Regional Plan Association and Transportation Alternatives among several others met with the DOT to discuss the redesign of Kent Ave. Subsequently leaked were rumors regarding turning Kent Ave one way northbound with a bidirectional bike lane on the west side of the street and loading zones on the east side. The actual plans weren't ready yet but based on these new thoughts we've come up with a few bullet points on what TA and BGI might expect with such a design. However we'll wait for those pending an actual plan unveiling on 27 May at the monthly Tranportation Committee meeting of CB#1.
