Post-event Debrief!

Working backwards we should have our ideas and plans finalized by Sept. 13th. This will give us a week of production time, with the lions share on our Sunday Sept. 14th workday at the TOPP office. See the Livable Streets google calendar for more dates.

Materials Needed List

Major Components (& captains)

Structure design (NickyG)

• 2 adjacent spaces: roughly 8' x 40'

• framed by Structure of8' 2x4 poles in paint buckets filled with soil
  
• Roof: twine network with canvas pieces clipped on, canvas only, some more netting or mesh-like material? --> needs experimentation
  
• Sod (Robin): 2 spaces worth, arranged in pattern to cover some parts of space
• ground covering for un-sodded areas (rubber netting, carpet)?
  
• Walls: twine web progressively filled in with hanging origami
• some low wall component built out of blocks?
• map on one of shorter end walls?
  

Boxes and Stools (Carly & Sonali)

• primary activity for participants is to play with boxes rather than build them, though we will also have building material on hand
• interlocking component of boxes (discussed holes & pegs, velcro, etc.)
• Decision: we will have velcro (special super-strength from fabric store?) on-site which people will attach to sides of blocks (about 2 velcro sides per block)
