The Group Management section allows administrators to change security settings, add a group picture, delete a group, and more.

Changing your group's name

To change the name of your group, enter a new name in "name" field and click "Update" at the bottom of the page. Although the name of your group will change, the URL will remain the same.

Group security

---

You can choose between three security settings for your group. Each level allows different people to edit and view your gropu. You can change your security settings at any time.

­ If anyone can view your group:­ Any visitor to Livable Streets, logged in or not, will be able to see your group.

If any Livable Streets members can contribute to your group:­ Any person with a Livable Streets username can edit "Pages."

If only team members can contribute to your group: Only the "team," people approved by a group administrator, can edit "Pages."­

If only team members can view, contribute, or search for this group: Your group is hidden from public view. Only team members can see or your group.­

Tools

Select which tools you want to use by clicking the box to the left of the tool name. If you wish to remove a tool from your group, just return to the "Manage" section and deselect that box. However, removing a tool from your group will delete any information stored in that tool. For example, if you wrote a few blog posts, and then removed the Blog feature from your group, all blog posts would be deleted­.

Home Page

By selecting a "Home Page," you can choose where visitors first land when they arrive at your group. You can select Group Summary, Pages, Mailing List, or Blog, as long as those tools are activated in your "Tools" section.

Delete a Group­

­Project administrators can delete a group at any time by selecting "Delete Group" at the bottom of the Group Management page. However, once deleted, any data contained within that group will be irretrievably erased.­
