Discussions is LSN Group's mailing list software.  With Discussions, you can email everyone in your group, and we'll keep track of all the emails on our site.  So you can read emails in your inbox, or scan through them while writing your Group's latest blog post.

Writing an Email to Your List

Every Group has a mailing list associated with it. If my Group is named "Bike Box," my list address would be bike-box-discussion@lists.livablestreets.com.  To send a message to that list, you can either send an email to that list, or you can click "write a new message" in the "Discussions" section of your group.

Choosing how to receive messages

Group members can decide whether or not to receive Discussion emails.  If you are "subscribed" to a Discussion, you will receive emails.  "Unsubscribed" Group members will not. By default, Group members are subscribed to the Discussion email list.

To subscribe to a list

If you want to Subscribe to a Discussion list, visit the Group's Discussion page and click "subscribe," at he bottom right of the page.

To unsubscribe from a list

Under the Discussions section, click "unsubscribe" or send an email to the Discussion list name with the subject "unsubscribe."
