A word about our blogs:
The software that runs Livable Streets Blogs is from another open source company called WordPress. Their software is very powerful and can do some pretty impressive stuff. They also have great documentation and support areas where you can go in-depth and learn a lot more about what their software can do. Therefore, if you don't see instructions on what you want to do, head on over and see if they've got your answer.Writing a Post
Writing a blog post is easy. Click the big orange "write a post" button, give your post a title, and write what you want. At the bottom of the text area, you have 3 choices: Save an Continue Editing, Save, and Post. "Save and Continue Editing" will save your progress and let you continue to work. "Save" will end your writing session and save your draft for later. "Post" will publish your draft, and let everyone see your work. Visitors to your blog can only see posts that you've published.
Saving a Post for Later
If you save a post for later, it will be stored under the "manage" tab in your blog section. To find posts that you want to publish, click "Administer your blog," located under the "write a post" button. From there click "manage," find the saved document you want to edit, and click "edit." Now you can edit and publish your post.
Categorizing Your Posts
You can associate individual blog posts with terms or categories. To add a category to a blog post, enter the post's edit mode, and select a category's check box on the right. To add a new category, simply write it in the box and click "add."
Editing Published Posts
Group Administrators can always edit blog posts, even if they're already published. To edit a published post, click "(Edit)," located next to the published post's name. When you're finished, click "save," and your changes will be live.
