3 miles of the Hutchinson River Greenway was completed a few years ago, connecting Ferry Point Park to Pelham Parkway. Construction on the remaining 2.5 miles is slated to begin Fall 2009. This will run along the Hutchinson River Parkway (by Co-op City) to the city’s northern border when it is complete. This project is still in its design stage, but one of the decisions that have to be made involves the location of the greenway. Should it be located on the Co-op City side or the Bay Plaza side? In either case, an access ramp will be built to provide much needed access into Pelham Bay Park, the largest park in NYC. What are your opinions or ideas for the Hutchinson River Greenway?
