The 145th Street Bridge spans the Harlem River, connecting W. 145th Street in Harlem with E. 149th Street in the South Bronx.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities

The bridge has shared bicycle/pedestrian paths on its north and south sides. As of August 2008, the south side path is closed for bridge rehabilitation.
North Side Path

This path is mostly an open sidewalk, with a chain link fence along the water side.

The Manhattan entrance is located at the northeast corner of W. 145th Street and Lenox Avenue / Malcolm X Boulevard / Esplanade Gardens.

The Bronx entrance is located at the northwest corner of E. 149th Street and River Avenue (and "Exterior Street," which mostly runs under the elevated highway).

Accessing the Bronx entrance involves rolling past some auto-oriented businesses and obliquely angled streets.
South Side Path

The south side path is closed as of August 2008. This is a photo of the Manhattan entrance, at the southeast corner of W. 145th Street and Lenox Avenue.

The 145th Street Bridge carries the Bx19 local bus. The bridge's western landing is located at the 145th Street Station on the 3 train. The eastern landing is three short blocks from the 149th Street-Grand Concourse Station on the 2, 4 and 5 trains.
