I suggest you contact the District Manager -- and copy the Chair of the Board -- to express your desire for more notice.

I also strongly suggest you attend the General Meeting to express your opinion on any issue before the Board.

Despite everything I said with Steve Simon and the police inspector Capul backing me up, they approved a new wine bar for Dyckman St. We can go to the full Board meeting later this month to speak up (3 minutes each) before the full board votes. This is the only option left.

I've already done all but the last one. They all know how I
feel. There is no need to waste more of my time. Either they
will do the right thing or not. I've been saying this for
years and they've been saying that it's not their job for years.
Instead of seeing themselves as a conduit for what people in
neighborhoods want for their own neighborhoods, they see themselves as
the experts on what should happen in other peoples' neighborhoods.
... and as a rubber stamp for business. With regard to the new
chairs, I still have an open mind. We'll see what
develops.
