Subject: [Inwood Livable Streets discussion] A good model?
The East River Greenway Initiative started a facebook group a couple of weeks ago (I joined on the first day) and they are up to 100 subscribers. I wonder whether this model will be successful, and if so how we can copy it. This was posted today.
East
River Greenway Initiative <http://www.facebook.com/EastRiverGreenway?ref=nf> Join us at the Transportation Alternatives East Side Committee meeting this coming Wednesday where we'll be talking bike lanes, Greenways and Bus Rapid Transit January 5, 2010 - 6:30pm - 8:00pm @ Vanderbilt YMCA 224 East 47th Street, Manhattan, 5th Floor Conference Room
Though they are specifically interested in filling gaps in the east river greenway, they have told me they are interested in the harlem river greenway gaps and projects connecting to it, like the Dyckman Greenway connector. I don't hold their name against them and want to work with them to the extent it can help our issues.
