Hi Maggie, Thanks for your input! This morning I rode Broadway -> Broadway Bridge -> 225th St / Kingsbridge Road -> E 194th St -> Webster Ave. The climb up Kingsbridge was indeed steep but not impossible (certainly no worse than the Greenway climb at the GWB). The traffic was very manageable, unlike on Fordham Road. Apartment-to-station was about 17 minutes--definitely faster than the bus. Ultimately, a protected bike lane on Fordham (and traffic calming) would be a beautiful thing, as it is direct and so many transit connections lie along that route. Where is all the traffic on Fordham coming from? Is due to cabs, trucking, toll beaters? Best, Daniel Marjorie J. Clarke, Ph.D. wrote:
