Planned Safety Improvements

Through a little bit of research, I have found the following safety improvements that are in some stage of development or implementation. Much of the information is from the city’s GIS map, which can be found here. The layers function on the bottom right has a whole host  of information. If you check the Department of Design and Construction under Capital Project, you will find the projects listed below.

We Have Doubled in Size!!

Ah the fun of statistics. A one person group has grown to two, and we have doubled!!

What’s up next - our newest member Steve is spreading the word, and I’m going to try and do the same.

The good news is I’m not the first person to ever notice that Harlem and Hamilton Heights has dangerous streets. So a big piece of my efforts will be to reach out to people in the community who have already been thinking about and working on this issue.

Some possibillities:

- School groups/people - teachers, principals, parents, students, professors

- Senior Citizizen groups

- Civic Associations

- Politicians

- Others

Any ideas out there in Livable Streets Blogland?
