Gantt can stay on the committee for now.  A little birdie from Albany told me that a bill can be pulled out from the committee.  This would take another assembly member with knowledge of the rules.  Maybe we could get the red light/bus lane issue attached to a law enforcement funding bill.  It might also be possible to yank it out of committee and straight to a full vote but I don't know the procedures well enough to know if that can be done.  Whoever does mess with the bill will get on Gantt's bad side, so they will need some popular support behind them.
