    Gary,

    Thanks so much for going!

Anyone should feel free to add to the Wiki page. Add ideas, reports,
images, propose actions, etc. We can also invite new people to join the
    coalition.

Perhaps we could get some good coverage on Streetsblog for all our
    success on this issue! Aaron?

    Ethan

    Council Hearing on Curb Cuts

    All,

I attended the hearing this morning and spoke in support of these
    proposals

Committee members Gentile and Brewer made sure to have people from their
districts come in to testify in favor. I listened to five other
individuals all speak in favor, as well as a representative from
"Gridlock Sam" Schwartz, who also favored the proposals. A few more
people were to speak after me, so it's conceivable there was some
    contrary points.

Not surprisingly, the reps from DOT and DOB spoke against the proposed
legislation, but all of their objections can be distilled to one
essential point: please don't give us any more work to do.

Over all, the hearing went swimmingly and I am optimistic about their
    passage.

    Best,

    Gary Reilly

I have to write about the curbcut that happens to be in front of my
own house as an intro to this whole thing, or i have to recuse myself.
But I really want to write about our cut, the history of which is
totally tied in to Brooklyn machine and Community Board politics, so
    hold your horses...
