Subject: Registration open for TCC IX in York, UK
2009-10-27 10:59
Just rec'd this message via Facebook from Randy Ghent, who is coordinating the 2010 Towards Carfree Cities gala in York, England. --------- Hello all. Just wanted to announce that registration is now open. Not only that, but we've announced a 'call for programme proposals'. So if you'd like to give a presentation, lead a workshop, activity, etc., we'd love to hear from you by the end of November. As you'll see from the website, we are focusing quite a bit on carfree development this year. The theme/subtitle is 'How Do We Get There?'. A registration form and the rest can be found at www.worldcarfree.net/conference/. An early bird discount applies until the end of January. Regarding accommodation, York is a popular and busy place, so we strongly urge you to book your accommodation soon. For good budget accommodation we suggest the Ace Hotel (www.acehotelyork.co.uk), located just around the corner from the conference venue. We will have an accommodation page up shortly, with a list of options in all categories. The dates again: 28 June to 1 July, plus the World Carfree Network annual meeting on 2 July, and most likely a very nice weekend excursion for those ableo to stay on a couple of days.
