Thank you all for joining Brooklyn Bridge Cycle Track Advocates! If you're getting this in your email and realize that you didn't want to get email like this, reply directly to me and I'll help you get off the list.

I think a good way to start this campaign is by identifying people who could be the major players:

- Potential beneficiaries: cyclists who live in Brooklyn and travel to Manhattan or vice versa. Pedestrians who would like to see cyclists off the bridge, including tourists and Chinatown residents. Business owners in Brooklyn Heights who could see increased patronage.

- Potential adversaries: motorists who commute over the Bridge, people who hate cyclists.

- Potential allies: the "New" DOT, pro-bike Councilmembers like Yassky and Mendez.

- Potential obstacles: the "Old" DOT, politicians who think everyone who's important drives, fiscal conservatives.

This is just a start, what I can come up with off the top of my head. I'm sure you all can think of more. Reactions, suggestions?

Thanks again!
