I'm really impressed with the great changes that are going on in New York City and Chicago. The new bike infrastructure is great, and there are finally lots of people who "get it," and want to make America's older industrial cities more livable and humane. I have made a few observations based on what I have seen around the country and the world. My view is that we can overt climate change with walkability and bike-ability, not new technology. I'm not sure why everyone is waiting for technology to save us. The answer is here and it's charming, healthy, easy, and cheap.

The above picture was taken in May 2010. I didn't manage to bike in Moscow but I did ride the magnificent Metro which makes even Paris' look small and dull.
