Joe bikes. He's also an artist, activist, author, gardener, and baker. He is a co-founder of the LA County Bicycle Coalition, and has been involved with the Bicycle Kitchen, the Urban and Environmental Policy Institute's LA Bike Summit, CICLE, Critical Mass, Coalition for Clean Air, Green LA Coalition, and more. He currently works at the Campaigns Director of CICLE (Cyclists Inciting Change thru Live Exchange)

He is the author of "Down by the Los Angeles River" (Wilderness Press, 2005) a guide to walking and biking the Los Angeles River. He lives at Los Angeles Eco-Village. He currently chairs the Green LA Coalition's Transportation Working Group.
