Janel is motivated to make streets most comfortable, convenient and safest for the least polluting modes of transportation. She has a Master's of Urban Studies from Portland State University and worked on bicycle, pedestrian and transit projects for the Portland Office of Transportation. She studied bicycle planning in The Netherlands and traveled extensively throughout Europe, drooling over their beautiful transportation infrastructure. She is a bike geek through and through.
