- About
- I am pleased to be able to participate in this great network for these two reasons. As an ex-New Yorker who lived in the city with enormous appreciation for the better part of a decade, the mere fact that I have been separated for years with an ocean between us has not in any way diminished my love of the city and my desire to make a contribution in areas in which I may have some competence. What I bring to this task is a certain level of international competence as a result of two decades of running an international collaborative program entitled the New Mobility Agenda for which you can obtain full information on the website at www.newmobility.org. My second hat is as editor-in-chief of new international Journal, World Streets, which describes itself as follows:the 21st century newspaper published by the New Mobility Partnerships that has a single job: to provide you with high quality, readable, concise food for thought, and leads specifically on the topics of sustainable mobility, sustainable cities, and sustainable lives, world-wide. You can pick up the latest copy of World Streets at www.Worldstreets.org.
- Interests
- Improving our understanding and control of technology as it impacts on people in our daily lives. Seeking out and pioneering new transformational concepts for concerned citizens, activists, community groups, entrepreneurs and business. Supporting local government as that closest to the people and the problems. Increasing the uncomfort zone for hesitant administrators and politicians. And through our long term world-wide collaborative efforts, energy and personal choices, placing them and ourselves firmly on the path to a more sustainable and more just world.
