I am a community activist with five years of professional work experience in labor, politics, women's issues, community organizing and education. I graduated from Queens College with Honors and have a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies and a concentration in Labor Studies. I plan to eventually attend graduate school to pursue a career as an urban planner.

I serve as the NY/NJ chapter coordinator for the women's organization GABRIELA Network (GABNet) [http://www.gabnet.org & http://www.gabnetnynj.blogspot.com].
I'm also a member of The Planners Network, The American Planning Association, and an advisory board member for a children's book project out of the environmental justice organization, Ecomukti.
