I've been teaching Spanish and ESL at the university level for many, many years. But in my spare time, I'm an upstart activist who cares deeply about communication, justice and good design for livable, walkable communities. I've been creating and administering email groups since 1994 and have seen people and neighborhoods transformed when they're able to communicate easily with each other.

Flamenco music. Food - local, from the garden, Slow Food, CSA's, excellent restaurants. Coffee. And the pursuit of justice for the great majority who don't have the power and connections to do great damage to our cities.
