- Jen Petersen is a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at New York University. Her research interests include urban redevelopment, the history and politics of automobility in U.S. cities, the problem of "accessibility", and streets as multi-purpose, multi-modal social spaces. She lives with her favorite bikes, violeta and black beauty, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
